Last weekend Team Bev Lumax earned a berth into the Manitoba Senior Curling Championships - February 23-27 at The Heather in Winnipeg. so the planning has begun. To win this event they have created a training plan that will get them to the Page Playoff qualifying round.
They've begun juggling schedules and will continue working out, throwing rocks and playing games.... hopefully lots of 10-end games, because that's what the provincials involves.
Team Bev Lumax team is strong and committed to this plan. The women on the Bev Lumax Team are all Swan River Valley residents with homes in Swan River, Minitonas, RM of Swan River, RM of Minitonas and Wellman Lake. Their extended family and roots reach further within the Valley to their home towns: Kenville, Birch River, and Renwer. They all work full time. Their work places are in Swan River, Minitonas, and Bowsman in an array of employment sectors: Education, Finance, Forestry, Horticulture, Agriculture Service, Agriculture, Technology. And these women are very active in the community touching friends, associates, neighbours and colleagues in many community orgnaizations and recreational niches: Wellman Lake, Minor Hockey, Health Care, Royal Purple, Music, Dance, and of course, curling.
Community support is central to the achievement of the plan. Fans, friends, and sponsors are all welcomed aboard to enjoy this curling journey with Team Bev Lumax. Follow the team here, to celebrate fans and sponsors and of course team achievements. It is going to be an exciting ride.
